Health clinics one rural region at a time

The rural regions of Armenia face significant challenges in terms of accessing primary healthcare clinics. In many cases, individuals have to travel for over an hour to reach the nearest hospital, and for more advanced treatments, they must travel to Yerevan, where most of the hospitals are located. To address this issue, our project will begin by working closely with community leaders and healthcare providers to identify the specific needs of the community. We will evaluate the existing healthcare infrastructure in rural Armenia and identify areas that require improvement. Additionally, we will identify and train appropriate healthcare providers and ancillary staff to ensure that basic assessments and treatments can be administered locally, without the need for extensive travel to urban centers. By collaborating with community members and healthcare professionals, HIE Initiative aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that will improve access to healthcare for all individuals in rural Armenia.
